Certainly, hotels that don't charge the resort fee do exist, but the catch is that they usually offer fewer amenities, or are located away from the Strip, downtown and all the fun that comes with visiting Vegas. There's much talk on the internet about how outrageous it is to charge a mandatory fee on top of a hotel room, especially id you don't want to use the pool, internet or whatever is offered by the hotel, but the reality now is that you will have to shell out anywhere from $10 to $50+ for each night, per each accommodation, if you are staying in one of the top Vegas hotels.
